Links Golf Academy

Links as the word suggests brings a linking of people together. Links Christian Trust was established to bring the friendship of Christ to all people - especially in two important extremes of life - happiness and suffering. Bernard works in these two extremes; as a Golf Teaching Professional and together with his wife Marcia he helps bereaved parents.

When people are relaxed and happy and also during times of crisis they often ask questions about the meaning of life itself. Why am I here? What is life all about? Is there a future after death? Why is there suffering in the world?

When people are relaxing socially, particularly in sporting environments, Links seeks to provide answers in a sensitive and helpful way.

In times of bereavement or illness, Links provides pastoral care, understanding and guidance.

Who is involved in Links?

The Trust is managed by committed Christians. The Trust Director is Bernard Firkins, a Christian since 1972. Since that time he has gained a wealth of pastoral experience and people skills with his involvement as a golf instructor, church pastor and his work with Care for the Family and their Bereaved Parents Network

Golf Days

As a PGA Christian professional, Bernard accepts invitations to help arrange golf days.

He not only gives golf instruction with video analysis, but if requested, he will give an after dinner talk on why the Christian faith is so important to him.

Bereaved Parents

Bernard with his wife Marcia offer considerable experience in pastoring and helping the bereaved, having lost one of their sons in 1996.
